About Christien Petersen
Christien Petersen attended Westmont College as an undergraduate and played rugby while getting his Bachelor's in Political Science. While earning his education, it was playing rugby that taught him to love a good and fair fight.
Mr. Petersen later graduated from Whittier Law School and began his practice as a criminal defense attorney at a boutique law firm called The Foxx Firm, owned by F. Freddy Sayegh and a temporary home to Of Counsel attorney Christopher Darden. Through them Mr. Petersen learned about the struggles of individuals facing the power of the State of California, and what it truly means to be an advocate for someone who is accused of committing a crime.
In 2013, Mr. Petersen struck out on his own to continue the fight for his clients.
Since going out on his own, Mr. Petersen has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the "Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys in Southern California" in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Also, Mr. Petersen has recently received the "Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award" from the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys, Inc. for his work and dedication to his clients for 2018.
